Imbolc ‘The Fire of Renewal’ – Sauna Rituals
As winter begins to loosen its grip and the first stirrings of spring awaken beneath the earth, we gather to honor Imbolc, the Celtic festival of light and renewal. Associated with the goddess Brigid, this sacred time marks the transition from darkness to light and the rekindling of hope, creativity, and life.
In the warmth of the sauna, we will align with the energies of Imbolc, embracing themes of purification, intention-setting, and the spark of new beginnings. Through ritual heat and steam, this event invites you to:
- Awaken Dormant Seeds – Reflect on your dreams and intentions as the earth awakens, preparing to bloom in the light of the coming spring.
- Rekindle Inner Fire – Invoke the spirit of Brigid, goddess of poetry, healing, and smithcraft, to inspire creativity, strength, and transformation.
- Purify and Renew – Through sacred herbs and aromatic steam, cleanse your body and spirit, leaving behind the stagnation of winter.
This ritual is a time to honor both the cycles of nature and the fire within each of us. Together, we will weave warmth, reflection, and inspiration into the turning of the seasons.
On 27 & 28 February, three sauna masters from Nordic Health Living from Denmark will provide fragrance and heat diffusion in the sauna with their passion and herbal knowledge. This will involve organic herbs, essential oils and live music. All this to make the sauna experience as special as possible for you. A benefactor for mind, body and soul!
Come experience a unique total experience in the Avalon Sauna and experience the Imbolc ‘ Fire of Renewal’ Sauna Ritual on Friday 27 & Saturday 28 February 2026.
