Nienke is where the music is.
“I write my own songs and call it; Medicine Music. This is healing music with messages about (self)love, trust & surrender, abundance, the power of touch and the Wild Woman.
Music as Medicine.
The song is about my life path and the lessons I get to learn here. The lyrics give you recognition, show you that the themes we face are so universal. You are not alone in everything you experience and go through. Sharing is healing. Transforming your shame into strength.
With my Medicine Music, I want to inspire you to live your life from feeling, trust your intuition and live your life from your power. Because that is who you essentially are. ”
She has been playing the piano since she was six and writing her own songs since she was ten. In 2005, her musical career began on stage. With her then pop-rock band D’Anoukki, she performed at home and abroad. After a musical trip to the Gambia, she recorded a reggae EP with Gambian rapper T-Smallz, and toured the Gambia.
In China, she did a theatre tour with top arrangements of two of her own songs. She performed this with a large orchestra, in front of 4,000 people.
With It All Started in the Nineties, a DJ act, she performed on major stages. One of the highlights was closing in the mega-tent at the Black Cross, in front of as many as 15,000 people.
